John is an award winning Composer and Songwriter with wide experience across several musical genres.
In his formative days, he studied classical guitar and piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in between touring with rock bands, working with artists as a songwriter and producer and scoring projects for up and coming directors.
Recent work includes the feature films ‘The Drummer and The keeper’, ‘Cherry Tree’and Discovery Channel’s ‘Harley and the Davidsons’ while previous credits include the TV series ‘Proof’ and ‘Custers Last Standup’ (BAFTA winner).
Through his commercial music company ‘Symphonic’, his scores have also featured in major advertising campaigns for Guinness, Heineken, Tourism Ireland and The Olympic Games to mention a few and his credits also include opening themes for The Six Nations and World Cup television coverage.
