John Leahy is the Managing Director of The Production Depot Ltd. which he founded in 2004.
With over 14 years experience in the area of supplying Equipment and Services to productions in Ireland and abroad, John is an experienced facility manager with expertise of Film and Video Camera Equipment, Grip Equipment, Emerging Formats, Workflows and all associated Supplies / Services. As an experienced company manager, John originally came from a Marketing background but gained his facility experience from working / training ,and representing, companies such as 'VFG', 'Panavision', 'Camera Rentals Ireland'(CRI), Samuelsons Film Services London ('Sammys'), Cine Europe London and Grip House London.
Over the years and through these various companies John has supplied and serviced a vast number of productions such as 'Widows Peak', 'The Van', 'The Butcher Boy', 'Michael Collins', 'Breakfast On Pluto', 'Becoming Jane', 'Garage', 'Once', 'Anton', 'Fifty Dead Men Walkingen','Ondine', 'Ballykissangel' (II-V), 'Fallen For A Dancer', 'Showbands', 'The Clinic' (I-VI), 'Pure Mule', 'Showbands' (I -II), Murphy's Law', 'Rough Diamond', 'Single Handed' (I), George Gently (I & II), Whistleblower, Oxegen, Corrs - Landsdown rd, MTV unplugged, Heineken Green Energy, Westlife, Bryan Adams, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, REM, U2, along a with a host of other Documentaries, Pop Promos, Corporates and Short films.
