Cine Electric Limited, founded in 1976, is Ireland’s largest lighting and generator suppliers. Cine Electric has six divisions:

1. Cine Electric (Ardmore)
2. Cine Electric (Northern Ireland)
3. Cine Electric (Outside Broadcast)
4. Cine Electric (Events)
5. Cine Electric (Studio Sales)
6. Cine Electric (Theatre Sales)

Paddy O'Toole is the founder and chairman of the Cine Electric group, and has been in the film and tv business for 40 years.

The company has a total of 12,000 square feet of storage and two premises:

Recent film credits include: Breakfast on Pluto, Boy Eats Girl, Isolation, The Honeymooners, Tara Road
TV credits include The Clinic, Proof, Killinaskully, Pure Mule, Studs.

Cine also provided outside broadcast lighting/generator expertise for You're A Star, Major EU Ceremonies, Eurovision Mass, Questions and Answers, Four Day Easter Ceremonies as well as providing event lighting for the Irish Film & Television Awards Ceremony at the Burlington, Dublin, Theatre Awards ceremony, Ballet at the Point Theatre and the Nokia Fashion Awards.

Cine Electric's work also includes designing studios and tv studios (ie DCU, DIT, Carlow Regional Collage, Tralee Regional College), as well as recent installations in the Gate Theatre, National Concert Hall, University College Dublin, Castelblaney Arts and Culture Centre, St Johns Arts Centre, Cork, Collins Barracks Museum Dublin and Dublin City University.

In 2002, Cine Electric Ltd was the sole lighting contractor on 'Reign of Fire'. A large percentage of lighting equipment and generators was supplied from Cine's own resources. Two major exterior location sets plus four stages at Ardmore Studios were rigged a set for Day and Night shooting. All additional plant generators, extra fuel storage and Musco Lites were installed, serviced and controlled by Cine. The film was the biggest film lighting job ever done in Ireland, and at one stage employed a total of 68 electricians.
