Some of the many highlights from the course's annual wins at the national Student Media Awards include Iarfhlaith Ó Domhnaill’s Na Cruacha for Best Documentary, Martina Flavin and Ciarán Ó Goibín’s Capaill is Caráiste for Best Irish Language Film and Niamh Ní Ruadhagáin’s (f)Uaim for the BLOC Best Short Film in Irish.

For the last fifteen years TG4 have gone on to broadcast graduates of the course’s student films, which are currently featured on the Irish language broadcasters’ Player in the series Céad Seans.

The academic team behind the Higher Diploma pride themselves on their innovative combination of practical industry focus with student oriented mentoring, an approach which has allowed the course over recent years to evolve into a flexible, blended, block-delivered course.

Many graduates are now employed with some of Ireland’s most successful production companies; they are producing, directing, editing or leading the cinematography on drama, sport, and documentary series including Ros na Rún, GAA Beo and Seal le Dáithí on TG4, The High Hopes Choir and Dr Eva's Escape on RTÉ, and Peataí on BBCNI.
