The Irish Film & Television Awards have announced Gay Byrne as the recipient of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award. "Gaybo" is Ireland’s most successful television and radio presenter with a career that spans over 50 years.
Gay Byrne and esteemed guests from the world of film, television and entertainment will attend the gala ceremony next week, taking place at Dublin's RDS on the 9th of February 2007.
The Ceremony will be broadcast on RTE One at 9.30pm on Saturday the 10th of February, preceded by the RTE Guide Red Carpet Style show at 9pm on RTE Two.
