Cinemagic
Cinemagic’s new streaming platform hosts a feast of international film to enjoy, including three specific titles especially for viewers in the Republic of Ireland.

The 31st Cinemagic International Film Festival for Young People presents unmissable online opportunities for families and young people, schools, young adults, young filmmakers, and film lovers of all ages. A brand-new streaming platform hosts a feast of international film for all movie fans, with a catalogue of films released every Friday at 4.99 Euro per rental per school or per household.

There are three titles exclusively for the Republic of Ireland audiences, streaming until November 5th. These titles replace the cinema titles that the festival had to cancel as part of Cinemagic Dublin in May this year due to the health pandemic.

Three films exclusive to Ireland:

Raggie

One of the most beloved heroes of Estonian children’s literature, the cheerful little rag doll Raggie, now has his own movie full of music, adventure, and true feelings. It’s a story about family, friendship, and universal love that can withstand even the greatest trials. Age recommendation: suitable for all https://filmfestival.cinemagic.org.uk/film/raggie/

Faunuland

When Emily finds a mysterious chest in her house she’s transported to a magical world where she meets the most fantastic creatures. But after scratching the surface she finds out the horrible truth, the land is dying and the only one who can save it is Emily herself. But to do that she has to face her worst fear. A fabulous fantasy adventure for the whole family. Age Recommendation: 8+ (Some scenes may be scary for young children). https://filmfestival.cinemagic.org.uk/film/faunutland-and-the-lost-magic/

My Favourite War

When Ilze discovers the remains of a German soldier in her backyard sandbox, she begins to find other stories buried underneath the propaganda. A personal, animated documentary that tells the story of the director’s upbringing in 1970-1990 Latvia during the Soviet occupation. The Soviet regime used World War II as a significant ideological weapon to intimidate and oppress the population during the Cold War. A fascinating look at history from a unique perspective. Original title: My Favorite War. Age Recommendation: 15+ (Adult Themes and Moderate Violence) https://filmfestival.cinemagic.org.uk/film/my-favourite-war/
