The free workshop will see Keating discuss fundamental storytelling tools and practical techniques for writers in film and television. The deadline for applications is Thursday September 29th.
Keating will also provide creative ways for screenwriters to get their ideas onto the page, and to complete and deliver a script draft. The workshop will take place on Wednesday October 5th.
Topics will include:

- Theme, and how it feeds our work
- Story structure made simple
- Audience / reader engagement
- Creating great characters-ways to harness motivation
- How to use character tools as story tools
- Subtext
- The writer’s practice and the importance of being oneself.
- Q&A / open discussion
Experienced screenwriters will benefit from the workshop by exploring new approaches to traditional concepts. New writers or those with less experience will be enabled to get through a first draft by learning practical tools.
