The deadline has been extended for Pulse College’s Summer Scoring Program "The Fundamentals of Scoring for Film & Visual Media”.
The program, which will take place in Varna in Bulgaria, is a Professional Career Development Opportunity for composers and it includes a dedicated one week Film Scoring program with Hollywood Composer Christopher Young, and Gala Concert.
Christopher Young’s credits as a composer include ‘Hellraiser’, ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’, ‘Species’ and ‘Spiderman’.
The program can be applied for as a Complete Summer Program (including The Christopher Young Film Scoring week) at a price of €2,800. It will take place June 30-July 25 of this year. Alternatively, the Christopher Young Film Scoring week is also available independently between the dates July 2-8 at a price of €900.
This summer program aims to provides composers with comprehensive and fundamental techniques of compositional scoring for film and visual media. It examines the responsibilities, workflows and processes of the composer, from initial commission through to the final completion of the score.
Participants will receive a certification of completion at the end of the summer program, signed by Hollywood composer Christopher Young and Director Derek Gleeson.
As part of the program, students will stay at Hotel Cherno More, from where classes are delivered daily, and get to record at Bulgaria National Radio Recording Studios.
