Pulse to host Live Online Event to launch applications for 2016/17 Film Scoring Master’s Program

Pulse College are set to host a Live Online Event for their Film Scoring Master’s Program on Thursday, October 8th.

Pulse College (Dublin, Ireland) is a leading creative institution for Irish and international contemporary musicians, music producers and artists aiming to work in the global entertainment music industry. For 25 years, it has been at the forefront of audio education in Ireland, pushing the boundaries for industry focused learning, consistently sending out skilled, creative and qualified graduates into the highest ends of the music industry.

2014 saw Pulse College launch an innovative one-year MA in Scoring for Film & Visual Media program, delivered in partnership with DIT Conservatory of Music & Drama. A first of its kind for Ireland, the program includes some of the Hollywood Scoring Communities biggest names as visiting tutors, such as Conrad Pope, Christopher Young, Garry Schyman and Richard Bellis.

Program director Derek Gleeson, and director of the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra, says: “ "We are attracting passionate students and professionals from all over the world, as well as Ireland, musicians that have a unique style. This MA in Scoring program has propelled Dublin onto the international stage to become the go to destination for young musicians and music producers demanding first class educational and practical experiences within a vibrant, dynamic city.”

Pulse College hosts a Live Online Google Hangout Thursday 8th October [6pm GMT / 1pm EST / 11am PST] to launch applications opening for 2016/17 and will discuss all elements of graduate admissions, scholarships, forging a career in the industry, chat with current MA students and detail the key program modules, including the 110 piece orchestra composition held in Bulgaria each summer.
