The Broadcast Production Skills Course at the Kerry ETB Training Centre/National Digital Skills Centre is now enrolling for its 52 week practical skills course starting January 11, 2016 in Tralee.
The course is the successor to the FAS TV & Video Course which ran for over 27 years and covers all the phases of production.
Housed in the newly created National Digital Skills centre, trainees have full access to a wide range of up to date equipment including UHD Digital Cinema cameras, Steadicams, Jibs and live outdoor broadcast kits.
Every year the trainees get to assist on the centre's industry workshops - The Dawn Workshops - www.facebook.com/thedawnworkshops. Past instructors have included Daniel Pearl ASC, Mo Flam and Tony Gregory.
The Certification is awarded by City & Guilds and additional certs include:
- BECTU - The Creative Industries Safety Passport (exclusive to the Broadcast course & the ROI)
- FETAC First Aid
- Manual Handling
- Safe Pass
Training allowances are payable on this course, where applicable. The start date is January, 11 2016.
