RTÉ2 Two has announced its’ continued sponsorship of the New Voices Award at this year’s National Student Media Awards (The Smedias).
The award will once again focus on finding fresh, new young broadcasting talent representing the diversity of contemporary Irish life, which is currently under-represented in broadcasting.
The winner of this brand new award will be announced at The Smedias, one of the biggest nights in the Irish student calendar, on April 16th, 2015 at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin.
The overall winner will receive the prize of a work placement with RTÉ Television during the coming summer, where they will be given mentored production training, both on and off screen, across a variety of departments. The category is open to all full-time and part-time students across Ireland, with the exception of students who have worked professionally within the media industry.
