British make-up effects designer Nick Dudman is to attend IADT on Thursday, March 19th as part of their National Film School Lecture Series in association with the Irish Film Board.
Dudman and his team have created the prosthetic make-up and the magical animatronic creatures on all eight of the $7.7bn dollar ‘Harry Potter’ film franchise – garnering an Oscar nomination for ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2’.
Dudman has also been nominated for eight BAFTAs, winning for ‘The Fifth Element’ in 1998. He has just completed series two of John Logan's ‘Penny Dreadful’ at Ardmore Studios for Showtime.
His many credits include: ‘Batman Begins’ (2005); ‘Judge Dredd’ (1995); ‘Interview with the Vampire’: ‘The Vampire Chronicles’ (1994); ‘Batman’ (1989); and ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ (1989).
