Screen Scene has been nominated for a Visual Effects Society (VES) Award for their work on Sky One miniseries, ‘Moonfleet’.
The VFX crew will go up against competitors such as ‘Da Vinci’s Demons’, ‘Hawaii 5-0’, ‘Mob City’ and ‘the Borgias’.
The prestigious award celebrates outstanding visual effects artistry and innovation in film, along with animation, television, commercials and video games.
Following on from the VFXAI announcement on IFTN last week, Screen Scene’s VFX supervisor Ed Bruce applauded the work of 3D supervisor John O’Connell, 2D supervisor Joe Courtis, producer Alan Collins, VFX coordinators Kenneth Coyne and Nico Murphy, and his team of artists for their superb contribution.
Ed was previously awarded for ‘Outstanding Supporting Visual Effects’ in a Broadcast Program back in 2012 for his work on Season One of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’.
‘Moonfleet’ was directed by Andy de Emmony and produced by Dan McCulloch for Company Pictures.
The full picture and sound post on the film took place at Screen Scene, with SSVFX providing all the visual effects for the two part series.
The 12th Annual VES Awards Ceremony will be held Wednesday, February 12th 2014 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel.
