Following a number of requests the closing date for the receipt of entries for the 2018 Radharc Awards has been extended to Monday 8th October.
Documentary films of outstanding quality in the spirit of Radharc are invited for submission.
The Awards will be presented on Friday, October 26th 2018 in the Talbot Hotel Stillorgan, Co. Dublin. The Radharc Awards were established in 2002 to honour the legacy of Radharc Films and its achievements in religious affairs programme making for Irish television from 1962 to 1997, and to encourage similar, quality documentary production in Ireland today.
Awards are presented every two years to the producers of television documentaries of outstanding quality that address national or international topics of faith, morality, social justice, human rights, religion or heritage. There is an additional award for similar documentaries produced for digital media.
Category One:
An award for television documentaries broadcast for the first time on any free to air channel on the island of Ireland between Wednesday 14th September 2016 and Friday 21st September 2018.
CategoryTwo:
An award for documentaries produced in Ireland for first time digital distribution during the same period.
The closing date for the receipt of all entries is now Monday, October 8th 2018.
An independent Jury will choose the winners. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 26th October 2018.
