The 13th century epic filmed in the West of Ireland stars Tom Holland, Richard Armitage (Brain on Fire) and Jon Bernthal, and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last Sunday, April 23rd to a fantastic response.
Irish mountains, forest and beaches are showcased in the period thriller, which sees a group of endangered yet determined monks in attempting to bring their holiest relic to Rome. The project also filmed in the Ardennes in Belgium.
Irish talent Brendan Muldowney (Love Eternal) directs Jamie Hannigan’s (Two Point Five Billion) script, with Conor Barry and John Keville of Savage Productions producing.
Following a seven figure distribution deal with RLJ Entertainment for the US rights to the project in February 2017, the project also struck approximately ten further deals with distributors in Spain, Japan, Italy, Australia and New Zealand, to name a few, earlier this month.
A release date for Ireland has not yet been confirmed.
