What’s In Your Bag: Low Budget & Micro-Budget Film Expo

This event is a skills building and resource sharing event with open panel discussions and will take place on Monday April 1st from 10:00-16:00 in Filmbase, Templebar.

The event is divided into the panels outlined below, including confirmed speakers and vendors, with further speakers yet to be confirmed.

11:00am–12:00pm: Practical Filmmaking
A discussion of low budget & micro – budget tips, tricks, techniques, hacks, workarounds, and “green” filmmaking practices from both professionals and amateurs alike.  Whether you have a budget, a few bucks, a wish list, or just an idea, this is the time and place to come to hear experienced practitioners talk about their work and answer your questions.

1:00pm–2:00pm: A Fistful of Euros
An in-depth look at all things money (funding, rentals, contracts, etc.) and promotion for low budget and micro-budget filmmaking.

Topics, rants, expert opinions, and questions may include:

The art and craft of getting your work scene, making a name for yourself, and uplifting (promoting, and otherwise repaying) cast and crew members and others who have contributed to your success.
