‘The Irish Pub’ to get North American Premiere
21 Feb 2014 : Deirdre Molumby
Alex Fegan’s documentary will have its North American premiere at the Toronto Irish Film Festival on February 28th at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.

It will also screen at the Chicago and Boston Irish Film Festivals in March. ‘The Irish Pub’ will be released in cinemas in Canada and the USA during summer 2014 and then will be launched on DVD and released on-demand.

The Irish documentary celebrates the important institution of Irish society, the pub, and the Irish people, known as publicans, who run the pubs. Their families have been running the bars for generations, and the film is full of unique, warm and witty characters.

The film was a one-man production whereby Alex Fegan directed, produced, wrote, recorded and edited the feature. Read IFTN’s interview with Alex Fegan here.
