TV3 has announced the appointment of Stephen Grant as Director of Online. This is a new position which the broadcaster has introduced to reflect the growing significance of online within the overall strategy for TV3 Group.
Stephen’s previous roles within the company include that of Sales Manager for TV3, and having set-up the Sky ad-sales business in Ireland. Most recently he was involved with TV3 on a consultancy basis on a number of projects including TV3’s acquisition of Channel 6 (now 3e), the TV3 Group commercial strategy and advertising media agency deals. TV3’s online business was established in autumn 2008.
Commenting on the appointment, David McRedmond TV3’s CEO said; “We are happy to have Stephen back within the organisation. Stephen brings a wealth of commercial expertise to the role and we look forward to Stephen taking TV3’s online business to the next level.”
Stephen Grant himself commented on his new position, saying: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to lead TV3’s online business. As the market continues to evolve, the importance of online within the organisation increases. TV content will increasingly be accessed online and I look forward to ensuring TV3 is at the forefront of the online market.”
