The Writers’ Guild of Ireland has announced the Nominees for the ZeBBie Awards 2016. Members of the Guild are now voting for the Best Script in each category and voting will close on Friday 22nd April.
The winner in each category will be announced at the ZeBBie Awards on Wednesday 25th May at The Sugar Club in Dublin, which will be hosted by Senator David Norris.
There are six categories of Awards (Television, Radio, Theatre, Short Film, Feature Film and Games) and three nominations in each of those categories. In the feature film category, ‘Song of the Sea’ scribe Will Collins is nominated alongside Mark Noonan for the Aidan Gillen starrer ‘You’re Ugly Too’ and Simon Fitzmaurice (a 2016 IFTA nominee for Best Script also) for the heart-warming ‘My Name is Emily’. On the television side, recent IFTA winner Marcus Fleming has been nominated for ‘An Klondike’ alongside Billy Roche for ‘Clean Break’ and Colin Teevan for acclaimed political drama series ‘Charlie’.
