Northern Ireland Screen, in conjunction with BFI, HMRC and Invest NI, are to hold an information day on the Creative Industries Tax Relief System on Tuesday, 7th October. The conference looks set to be of interest to anyone interested in producing films, TV shows, cartoons and video games as it will run the audience through the feasibilities and realities of the tax relief system.
Taking place at the Invest NI offices on Bedford Street in Belfast, the conference will be run by representatives from HMRC’s Policy Unit and Incentive Team, as well as the BFI’s Head of Certification, and is to be split into two different sessions.
The morning session will be aimed at Accountancy Professionals and Production Accountants and will focus on the process of the schemes, the practicalities of the record keeping requirements and tracking of expenses, how the claims are submitted and actually dealt with (including enquiries).
