The popular reality programme returns to our screens on Monday 7th of January as five brand new celebrities attempt to host the perfect dinner party in their own personal style.

The food, entertainment, and hosting are all taken into account, and at the end of the week, the top-scoring celebrity wins €5,000 for a charity of his/her choice.

Back in April of last year, Celebrity Come Dine with Me was a ratings hit for TV3, as 365,700 viewers tuned in to watch rugby legend Shane Byrne cook up a storm for his guests and become the overall winner.

The TV3/UTV production, based on the hit Channel 4 format by Granada Television, has five new celebrities competing for the prize, as model agency boss, Celia Holman-Lee, reality star, Geraldine O’Callaghan, former Miss World, Rosanna Davidson, celebrity snapper, Brian McEvoy, and comedian, Joe Rooney, all attempt to outdo one another to become the new Celebrity Come Dine with Me winner.

First up is Celia Holman-Lee, who uses her little black book to get some help from her friends on her Moroccan themed evening. On Tuesday, it’s the turn of former Apprentice star Geraldine O’Callaghan, who struggles to impress her guests with her attempts at comedy.

Next up is former Miss World Rosanna Davidson as she plans a ‘tarts and tiaras’ themed party. A dedicated vegan, Rosanna is determined to give her meat-loving guests an insight into her alternative diet, by serving up meat-free dishes to the uncertain celebrities. The penultimate day of the celebrity cook-off sees celebrity photographer Brian McEvoy attempt to impress his guests by rolling out the red carpet and discussing the numerous celebrity photos that adorn his wall.

In the final night of the cooking challenge, actor and comedian Joe Rooney is determined to pull out all the stops to win over his guests and to throw his guests off the scent, prankster Joe has written his menu in a warped mix of 5 languages, and it has the desired effect: most of the group haven’t got a clue what’s in store for them. Joe has also written a special song for his guests and proves to be quite the entertainer but will his food live up to expectations? And who will finally walk away with the coveted prize of €5,000 for charity?

Celebrity Come Dine With Me Ireland airs weekdays from Monday 7th January at 9pm on TV3
