Cláracha Gaeilge call for Irish language documentary proposals
2016-07-21 9:45:00 : Katie McNeice
Cláracha Gaeilge has issued a call for proposals for 30 minute Irish language documentaries. Strong stories and characters are expected to be at the core of proposals, which will appeal to a large audience.

It is possible for proposals to be talent-led and authored. It has also been confirmed that the documentaries can engage with all aspects of lifestyle, entertainment, education, etc.

The maximum budget available is €55k, while applicants are reminded that cost-effective proposals will be of particular interest. Ideas can be submitted by producers into the eCommissioning system under the programme category "Cláracha Gaeilge Education/Science "Single, one off Documentary".

This call for proposals follows the other quality Irish language content from Cláracha Gaeilge such as ‘Scannal’ and ‘Cloch le Carn’. New documentary strands in 2016 have included 'Ar Son Na Poblachta', 'Comhrialtas' and ‘Euros’.

The deadline for submissions is midday, Tuesday August 30th.
