Dublin-based animation studio Brown Bag Films are currently in production of new animated pre-school series, 'Vampirina'.
‘Vampirina’ will once again partner Brown Bag with Disney Junior with the two companies also collaborating on the highly successful ‘Doc McStuffins’. Oscar nominated Irish director Nicky Phelan (‘Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty’, ‘The Octonauts’) will helm the new series, which will be led by executive-producer Chris Nee (‘Doc McStuffins’) and co-executive producer Norton Virgien (‘Doc McStuffins’).
‘Vampirina’, inspired by Disney Publishing's popular children’s book series Vampirina Ballerina by author Anne Marie Pace and illustrator LeUyen Pham, tells the story of a young vampire girl who becomes the new kid in town when her family moves from Transylvania to Pennsylvania.
The series is scheduled to premiere in 2017.
