The studio shoot for ‘Is Eolaí Mé’ (I’m a Scientist), a 22 part science series for young people, is coming to an end.
Produced by Meangadh Fíbín for TG4, the series is presented by Peadar Ó Goill and Úna Ní Fhlatharta under the consultation of Dr. Naomi Lavelle (Dr. How’s Science Wows).
The show is directed by Róisín Ní Thuairisg & Deirdre Ní Fhlatharta and produced by Siobhán Ní Bhrádaigh, Darach Ó Tuairisg & Mícheál Ó Domhnaill.
Based on the primary school science curriculum, Peadar, Úna and their team investigate numerous science themes and theories from the conservation of energy to chemical reactions, all through innovative and exciting experiments. Joined in studio by young science enthusiasts from around the county, ‘Is Eolaí Mé’ will also contain segments shot on location from locations such as, Black Rock Observatory, National Maritime College, W5 Belfast and the Celtic Explorer as well as short comic drama segments featuring the comic actors Jonathan Gunning and Neil Gunning, all highlighting the theme of the day.
The show is funded by TG4, with the support of BAI, Sound and Vision scheme and with the support of incentives for the Irish Film Industry provided by the Government of Ireland.
‘Is Eolaí Mé’ will air on Cúla4 in 2016 and will be available on TG4.tv.
