Irish production company Prize Pig Productions has made it to the last five of MipFormats – the discovery showcase for global formats – which will be held on 11-12 April, 2015.
Prize Pig Productions is a new start-up specialising in Format Development for TV, Brands and Online Channels.
It is a new venture from Development Producer Martin Crehan (‘Take Me Out’, ‘Don’t Tell The Bride’) and TV Presenter Emma O’Driscoll (‘Popstars’, ‘Celebrity Bainisteoir’).
The final five of the Mipformats International Pitch will take place next week in Cannes with a 20k Development Prize at stake supported by All 3 Media International.
Their Entertainment format ‘Project Party Villa’ is competing with stiff competition from Canada, Lebanon, Austria and the USA.
MipFormats will offer the opportunity for worldwide exposure for one of their first formats.
They have enlisted the help of Editor Billy Twamley (‘The Real Slum Dogs: Journey of Hope’, ‘At Home with the Healy Raes’) to cut the reel for their pitch.
Martin and Emma met on The Den over 10 years ago and in the past two years have focused on writing and devising content with a view to export.
They also have a gameshow in development with the makers of ‘Who Wants To Be a Millionaire’ (Boxatricks London).
