A Public Interview will be held with Oscar-nominated actor John C. Reilly at this year’s Galway Film Fleadh, which takes place 7-12 July.
Well-known for both dramatic and comedic appearances, Reilly has appeared in films such as ‘Boogie Nights’, ‘Magnolia’, ‘The Aviator’, ‘Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story’, ‘Step Brothers’, ‘The Hours’ and ‘We Need To Talk About Kevin’. He has worked with many high-profile directors since his film debut in 1989 including Brian DePalma, Paul Thomas Anderson, Martin Scorsese, Terence Malick and Roman Polanski.
To date, he has appeared in more than 50 films, including three separate films in 2002 that were all nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture – ‘Gangs of New York’, ‘The Hours’ and ‘Chicago’ – with the actor landing an Oscar nomination for his performance in the latter project.
Reilly will also appear alongside Colin Farrell in Yorgos Lanthimos’s critically acclaimed Cannes hit ‘The Lobster’ (in cinemas later this year) – which was shot in Ireland and is co-produced by Element Pictures with funding from the IFB.
The Public Interview will be hosted by Seán Rocks, from RTÉ One’s Arena, in the Town Hall Theatre on Sunday 12th July at 3pm, before a screening of the cult comedy ‘Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story’.
