The Celtic Media Festival is currently in full swing in Inverness and it has been a successful event so far for the Irish.
Terry McMahon’s feature ‘Patrick’s Day’, Touchline Media’s documentary ‘Arkle’, Scratch Films’ arts programme ‘Dolores Keane: A Storm in the Heart’, TG4’s short drama ‘Sínte’, Flickerpix’s app ‘Seamus Heaney Five Fables’, and the RTÉ/BBC co-production ‘The Disappeared’ have all picked up gongs so far, with more award winners to be announced as the festival concludes this evening.
Acclaimed Irish feature ‘Patrick’s Day’ took home the award for Feature Length Drama, while documentary ‘Arkle’ won for Sports Programme. ‘Dolores Keane: A Storm in the Heart’ won in the Arts category while ‘Sinte’ won for Best Short Drama. ‘Seamus Heaney’s Five Fables’ won for Best App while ‘The Disappeared’ won in the Current Affairs category.

- Children’s Programme: ‘Katie Morag’ -BBC / Move on Up (Scotland)
- Best App: ‘Seamus Heaney Five Fables’ – Flickerpix (Ireland)
- Feature Length Drama: ‘Patrick’s Day’ (Ireland)
- Factual Entertainment: ‘Rhod Gilbert’s Work Experience’ – BBC (Wales)
- Short Drama: ‘Sínte’ – TG4 (Ireland)
- Current Affairs: ‘The Disappeared’ – BBC/RTÉ (Ireland/N. Ireland)
- Young People: ‘Being Sixteen in 2014’ – BBC (Scotland)
