Filmbase and Temple Bar Cultural Trust present ‘Beyond TV’ Opportunities for Filmmakers Online Free Seminar Series this Thursday 21st July from 6.30-9.30pm.
The series of free Seminars will take place at Filmbase and will focus on making films for the web. Guest speakers at the seminars will include Apple Certified Master Trainer Simon Walker, Rubberbandit’s manager Joe Clarke and producer Triona Campbell (Sofia’s Diary, Aisling’s Diary). The seminars will cover all aspects of planning, shooting, formatting, uploading and distributing films digitally.
The first seminar is ‘How To Make a Killer Internet Video’ with Apple Certified Master Trainer Simon Walker offer a series of technical tips and tricks designed to help filmmakers get most out of their online videos. The next session ‘The Rubberbandits – How to Make Money on YouTube’ is with Rubberbandit’s manager Joe Clarke and will cover how to utilise web platforms in order to get your film seen as well as discussions about the variety of revenue streams available for online films.
The third session will look at ‘Media That Crosses Platforms’ with producer and founder and director of international transmedia company beActive, Triona Campbell. Triona will outline opportunities for filmmakers to develop their stories outside of traditional television and film routes. The final session will feature filmmakers from the Made in Temple Bar internet film competition who will take about their experience of filming, editing and promoting their videos in just five weeks.
