The Irish co-production ‘The Visit’ has been acquired by Random Media for North American distribution.
The documentary is co-produced by Venom Films (‘His & Hers’, ‘Undressing My Mother’), with support from the Irish Film Board and is directed by Danish documentarian Michael Madsen. The film is a creative documentary that poses the question, what would happen if we were to be visited by a being from another world? The film presents this hypothetical scenario to experts from around the world who have already dedicated their lives to preparing for such an event.
Nathan Nugent, who has just been nominated for an IFTA Award for his work on Lenny Abrahamson’s ‘Frank’, co-edited the feature with Stefan Sundlöf.
The film screened earlier this year in the World Documentary Competition of the Sundance Film Festival and was also selected to screen at the South by Southwest Festival in Texas.
Distributors Random Media are planning an Autumn release for the film.
