Break Out Pictures have announced the world premiere of Lies We Tell this July at the Galway Film Fleadh, followed by a theatrical release across Irish cinemas this October.
Lies We Tell is written by Elisabeth Gooch, and directed by Lisa Mulcahy.
The film is a contained psychological thriller about a gaslit girl’s break for freedom. Maud (Agnes O’Casey), an orphaned heiress living alone in an isolated manor, must fight her Uncle (David Wilmot) for her inheritance, and her life. Lies We Tell also stars Holly Sturton and Chris Walley.
Ruth Carter will produce for Blue Ink Films, with support from Fís Éireann / Screen Ireland.

Lies We Tell will be released in Irish cinemas on October 13th, 2023.
