New Trailer Launched For Irish Horror 'The Cured' Ahead of US Release
26 Jan 2018 :
IFC Films have released a new trailer for the film ahead of its North American theatre release next month. The horror will be launched on demand via digital HD, and in cinemas on Friday, February 23rd.

The film, which has been nominated for an IFTA at the 2018 Film & Drama Awards, made its premiere at Toronto International Film Festival last year, and is David Freyne’s feature directorial debut. The distribution rights were picked up by IFC Films following its well received TIFF screening.

‘The Cured’ is set in a future where a disease that turned people into zombies has been cured. However, the once-infected zombies are discriminated against by society and their own families, which causes social issues to arise - leading to militant government interference..

‘The Cured’ stars Ellen Page, Sam Keeley, Tom Vaughan Lawlor, Paula Malcomson and Stuart Graham. It was written and directed by David Freyne. Produced by Rory Dungan and Rachael O'Kane for Tilted Pictures. Co-producers were Bounder & Cad and Bac Films Production. Exec Producers were Aaron Farrell of Shinawil, John Keville and Conor Barry of Savage Productions, Mark Huffam and Aidan Elliot of Bounder & Cad and Kelly Bush Novak of ID.
