‘Robot Overlords’, which was partially shot in Northern Ireland in the summer of 2013, will be released on Digital HD from July 24th and on DVD & Blu-ray August 10th.

Directed by Jon Wright (‘Grabbers’), ‘Robot Overlords’ stars Oscar winner Ben Kingsley and ‘The Fall’ lead actress Gillian Anderson. Key Irish crew members include editor Matt Platts Mills, Production Designer Tom McCullagh and Costume Designer Hazel Webb Crozier. The film was partially funded by Northern Ireland Screen.

The plot is set three years after Earth has been conquered by a robot invasion, with all humans confined to their homes or controlled by an implant.

When a teenage boy discovers a way to disable the implants, he heads off in search of his long lost father and discovers a secret that could lead to the robots’ destruction.

The film was released to Irish and UK cinemas on March 27, 2015.
