Screwball comedy season to begin at the Lighthouse cinema
The Lighthouse cinema will begin its ‘Screwball Comedy’ season on March 6th with a screening of Frank Capra’s fast-talking ‘It Happened One Night’, starring the iconic Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. Also being shown as part of the season are Howard Hawks’ ‘His Girl Friday’ and ‘Bringing up Baby’, both starring one of Hollywood’s top leading men of the 1930s and 1940s, Cary Grant. The season will conclude with the running of another Cary Grant helmed comedy ‘The Philadelphia Story’, with screenings on March 27th , 30th, and 31st.
