‘The Liffey Laugh’ a new 8 part comedy series for RTE Two featuring the best Irish stand up talent live from Vicar Street, begins on Monday the 22nd of November at 10pm.
The series is presented by award winning comedian, actor and writer Sean Hughes (Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Sean’s Show) and also features the comedic talents of Jason Byrne, Channel 4’s recent King of Comedy winner Andrew Maxwell, ‘Stew’ star Tara Flynn, Comedy Cellar founder Dermot Carmody, fast rising Eddie Naessens, new talent John Lynn and Paddy Courtney.
‘The Liffey Laugh’ is produced by independent TV company Midas Productions in association with Bren Berry from Aiken Promotions. Midas have expressed their delgiht that the show has already become “a hit before transmission.” RTE executives have extended the series into January because they were so happy with the first installment.
’The Liffey Laugh’ was commissioned by Kevin Linehan for RTE Entertainment and is produced and co-directed by Billy McGrath with live stand up material directed by Simon Gibney.
