BBC & TV3 to Co-Produce ‘The Hotel For Refugees’
03 Aug 2017 : Katie McNeice
The forty-minute factual special explores a small Catholic community that must deal with the arrival of Syrian refugees.

This episode focuses on how the Irish Catholic community, in particular, contends with the impact of refugee arrivals.

The wider series produced by UK outfit Films of Record for the BBC consists of five episodes exploring faith and ethical issues across Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism.

This in turn is part of a wider programming initiative ordered by the broadcaster which engages with different faiths and religions, globally.

Tom McDonald, Head Of Commissioning For Natural History And Specialist Factual, BBC:
“[Each of the shows] in different ways, explore how the challenges of modern life and questions of faith intersect with surprising, moving and often uplifting results.”
