Two new Home-grown shows ‘Ireland’s Oyster Clan’ and ‘Renovation Nation’ coming to TV3 in January
17 Dec 2014 : Seán Brosnan
‘Ireland’s Oyster Clan’ and ‘Renovation Nation, two new home-grown shows, are to air on TV3 in January of the new year.

‘Ireland’s Oyster Clan’ is a six-part scripted reality series which takes the viewer down to the beautiful coastal Cooley Peninsula. Each week, the show follows the Louet-Feisser family, Kian, Charm, Mary, Gary, Darren and their children, friends and employees, as they strive to make their company the most successful Oyster business in Ireland.

The series was directed by Aidan Woodward who also served as DOP. Woodward has previously directed British documentaries such as ‘An Island Parish’ and ‘River Cottage Veg’. Editing was completed by Neil Hodges and Naudene Leisegang and it was posted at Alaska TV Productions, a London based post production company that has previously worked on documentaries such as ‘The Proposers’ for Lifetime and ‘No County For Old Men’ for The History Channel.

Presented by Laura Woods, ‘Renovation Nation’ is also coming to TV3 in January 2015.

The series was directed by Catherine Steel and edited by Billy Twamley while post production took place in-house at TV3 Studios and camera work was provided by the TV3 camera department.

‘Renovation Nation’ is the show that helps give back to local communities and aids charitable organisations by refitting, revamping and reviving their much loved spaces. With help from the ‘Difference Days’ skilled team of professionals and a keen group of volunteers, they do it all in just one day.

With projects in Darndale, Limerick, Ballymun and Walkinstown, the Renovation Nation team rejuvenates everything from a run-down classroom and a neglected orchard to a derelict yard and a disused garden.

‘Ireland’s Oyster Clan’ and ‘Renovation Nation’ will air on TV3 in January. Check out TV3’s Christmas schedule here.
