Second Season of ‘Trivia’ Wraps Filming, Screen Scene Begin Post
09 May 2012 : By Steve Cummins
Trivia
The second series of Irish comedy drama ‘Trivia’ has wrapped filming and entered post-production at Screen Scene in Dublin.

Grainne Gavigan (Hardy Bucks, The Clinic) will edit the Grand Pictures’ six-part series, which completed filming last week in Co Kildare after a six- week shoot in Celbridge and Maynooth. The series is due to air on RTÉ in the autumn.

The series was directed by Tom Hall (Bachelors Walk) with Fionn Comerford (Camera Op, Life’s a Breeze, Roy) the director of photography and Paul Donovan producing for Grand Pictures.

Once again written by Damien Owens, the cast sees David Pearse reprise his role as Lawrence, the trivia obsessed lead. Also returning are Janet Moran, as Lawrence’s girlfriend Molly, and Keith McErlean (Raw, Bachelors Walk) as Lawrence’s long suffering best friend Adam.

Comedienne Aisling Bea joins the cast to plays Adam’s new love interest, while Aoibhinn McGinnity (Love Hate) also returns as quiz night MC Tara.

‘Trivia’ is part funded by the Sound and Vision scheme of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, from which it received €320,000 last September, and Section 481.
