The MIPTV red-carpet list, ‘The Avengers’ multi-million branding deals and Woody Allen are amongst the international news stories making headlines in today’s Daily Bite.

Oscar-winner and ‘Titanic’ creator Julian Fellowes’ appearance at MIPTV, massive branding deals by forthcoming blockbuster ‘The Avengers’ and the latest big names linked to Woody Allen’s new project are the international news stories making headlines in today’s Daily Bite.

MIPTV rolls out the red carpet… Jean Reno (Ronin), Franka Potente, Julian Fellowes (Titanic), Elle Macpherson, Geraldine Somerville (Gosford Park), Toby Jones (Titanic), Celia Imrie, Deena Nicole Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino, Nikki Griffin and Tiffany Brouwer are amongst some of the big stars who will be attending MIPTV from Sunday. The times and locations of their talks and appearances can be seen on MIPTV.com

‘The Avengers’ secures $100m in brand deals…. Due to be released in Ireland on April 27, Variety are reporting that forthcoming blockbuster ‘The Avengers’ will have recouped almost half of its $220m budget through branding deals. Marvel Studios and Disney have secured a reported $100m (€75m) in worldwide marketing support from companies such as Dr Pepper, Visa, Harley-Davidson, Hershey and Oracle.

Blanchett and Cooper for Woody Allen movie?... Deadline are reporting that Oscar-winner Woody Allen is hoping to cast Cate Blanchett and ‘Hangover’ star Bradley Cooper in his as-yet-untitled new film. Allen is reportedly eyeing Copenhagen as the setting for his next film. His next movie, ‘To Rome With Love’, is due for release in the US on June 22.

If you watch one trailer today… Johnny Depp has once again teamed up with director Tim Burton for ‘Dark Shadows’, which is released in Ireland on May 11.
