The popular television documentary series from Animo TV and Kite Entertainment is back this week for another series.
'Who Do You Think You Are?' is a genealogical, six-part series that follows famous Irish celebrities as they explore their family history, finding out more about where they and their ancestors came from.
The first episode investigates the ancestry of the Irish folk singer Damien Dempsey, taking him as far away as Massachusetts and revealing revolutionary links that saw his ancestor incarcerated alongside Daniel O'Connell.

Comedian and actor Pat Shortt, presenter Laura Whitmore, former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, actor Adrian Dunbar and former US ambassador to the UN Samantha Power will all feature in episodes of the upcoming series.
Speaking to IFTN, director of the first episode, Luke McManus said: "Working with Damo on ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ was an absolute pleasure. The first episode airs on RTE One on Sunday 9th September at 9:30pm.
