Saoirse Ronan Nominated for SAG Award as ‘Three Billboards..’ leads list of Nominations

Following on from her nomination at the Golden Globes on Tuesday, Saoirse Ronan has been nominated for ‘Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role’ at this year’s SAG Awards.

Ronan’s competition has remained consistent across her nominations thus far with Margot Robbie (‘I, Tonya’), Frances McDormand (‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’), and Sally Hawkins (‘The Shape of Water’) becoming recurring competition for Best Female Actor.

Martin McDonagh’s ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ has also consistently been in the mix for most nominations so far. Although McDonagh was not eligible for nomination at the SAG Awards, his cast came away with the most nominations of any film this year, picking up nominations for ‘Best Female Actor’, two for ‘Male Actor in a Supporting Role’, and for ‘Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture’.
