With the year end in sight Tim Morris, Head of Post Production, can reflect on a very busy and exciting period in Windmill Lane’s programme/features division.

"It was a bit hectic at times but our strategy to further develop this division through new talent and technology has been very successful for us” Morris said.
Following on from the success of posting the feature ‘Dead Bodies’ Windmill Lane have completed Hi Def post production on ‘Man About Dog’ and provided facilities for Damien O Donnell’s movie ‘Inside I’m Dancing’. Current work includes Treasure Films ‘The Mighty Celt’ for BBC Films and ‘Proof 2’ for Subotica Films directed by Thaddeus O Sullivan.
“In the area of telecine we have recruited colourist Dave Hughes who has worked extensively on Spirit in London and Brussels. He is a vastly experienced operator who can contribute both technically as well as creatively,” added Morris.
In line with the growing demand for Hi Def post work earlier this year Windmill up-graded its Spirit telecine to full spec Hi Def making it the only true Hi Def telecine in Ireland.
“In addition to myself and Clare Kavanagh who head up the programme/features division, Therese Caldwell has joined the team in Windmill. Her previous experience in both Dublin and London in this sector and the contacts she has made, make for a formidable force in sales, marketing, work flow scheduling and post production supervision here in Windmill Lane”.
With the New Year set to deliver more challenges in this sector, Windmill have gone one step further to complete the best post production package available in the marketplace.
Morris added “We knew we needed to increase our editors’ pool to complete the considerable commitment we had made to date in programmes and features. To this end I am delighted to announce that Guy Montgomery will be joining Windmill Lane. He is a great talent, has a brilliant track record and gets on really well with clients. We are very much looking forward to having him here in Windmill Lane”.
