Talented Irish actor Cillian Murphy is reportedly in negotiations to star in Wes Craven’s new thriller ‘Red Eye’ alongside ‘Mean Girls’ star Rachael McAdams.
The film is a hostage thriller with McAdams playing a woman held captive by a stranger (Murphy) on an airplane. Murphy’s character threatens to kill her father unless she helps him assassinate a millionaire businessman.
This is another high profile gig for the actor and will increase his star potential to even dizzier heights. Murphy will be in Ireland this month to shoot Neil Jordan’s latest ‘Breakfast on Pluto’ and has just wrapped on Christopher Nolan’s Batman movie ‘Batman Begins.’
Shooting is expected to begin on ‘Red Eye’ in LA on the 8th of November 2004.
