Paradise Pictures have announced details of three new projects for RTE’s Autumn schedule; ‘The Homeless World Cup’, ‘Global Beats, Festival of World Cultures’ and the free concert event of the summer, ‘O2 in the Park.’
Shooting is already underway on the documentary ‘The Homeless World Cup’ focusing on the international charity event that attempts to raise the profile of the issue of homelessness worldwide, with the tournament taking place in Gothenburg, Sweeden. Produced by Colin Cowman, and directed by Liz Kinsella, the documentary follows many teams competing for the coveted spot to represent Ireland.
Building on the strengths of ‘Global beats 2003’, Paradise Pictures are in production of a four part documentary series on ‘The Festival of World Cultures’ in Dun Laoghaire. ‘The Festival of World Cultures’ is Ireland’s leading intercultural festival - a dazzling combination of internationally renowned acts and local talent –which celebrates the vibrancy of multi-faceted traditions. The series is produced by Colin Cowman, Directors, Theresa Smith, Colin Cowman and Liz Kinsella and is due to be transmitted on RTE Network 2 on September 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th.
Finally, Paradise Pictures are to produce this years RTE special of ‘O2 In The Park’ in association with RTE 2FM. The event will be hosted by Kerry McFadden and Keith Duffy with performances and interviews from top pop favourites Blue, Girls Aloud, Bellefire, Picturehouse and George Murphy to name but a few. Produced by Colin Cowman, John Masterson, Director: Garry Keane, the show be screened on 19th September on RTE Network 2 at 6.00pm.
