The Irish feature film ‘Wild About Harry’ starring Brendan Gleeson and shot in Ireland during 2000 has been picked up by Paramount Pictures for a Hollywood remake.
’Wild About Harry’ was originally written by Colin Bateman and directed by Declan Lowney with Amanda Donohoe, James Nesbitt and Adrian Dunbar starring alongside Brendan Gleeson. The film is described as a wry comedy, telling the story of a wayward celebrity chef who gets an unexpected second chance at life when he awakes from a coma.
Reoprts from Variety indicate Jon Berg and Todd Komarnicki of Guy Walks Into a Bar and Roy Lee and Doug Davison of Vertigo Entertainment are producing. Michael Connolly of Madd Hatter Films will executive produce. No cast has been attached as yet.
