ADSAT Forges New Alliance With UK Based IMD
28 Jun 2004 :

ADSAT, the advertising copy distribution service, which distributes advertisements to the country’s radio stations, has announced its expansion into TV commercials distribution following the finalisation of a strategic alliance with IMD, the leading distributor of broadcast

broadcast quality radio and TV commercials in the UK.

This new relationship with IMD opens up the UK and European market for ADSAT and its clients while opening up the Irish market for IMD.

Since it was established in 1997 ADSAT has become the main distribution centre for Irish advertising agencies and production houses and the new alliance is an obvious expansion according to John O’Connor, chief executive of IRS, which manages the service.

It’s a very exciting development says O’Connor;

“This is a very exciting development for Irish Advertising Agencies which will not only save time and money it will effectively bring them closer to the broadcast medium. There is now a one-stop distribution centre for their copy whether it is for radio or television.”

He adds; “The new alliance is very opportune given the increasing number of UK broadcasters offering Irish opt-outs. Currently commercials from Dublin can take 24 hours at best to reach a UK TV station but in the future they will arrive within minutes’.

IMD sales and marketing manager Bob Cole is equally excited about the new alliance. “IMD, like ADSAT has a proven track record in distribution. Our new TV service is totally demand led. We have received massive support from all sides of the industry and have consulted with the leading industry groups at every step of along the way. We have used outside experts from ITV to ensure our TV distribution is fully compliant with IV standards.”
