Organisers of the 4th annual Film Fleadh Shorts Night, due to take place in New York City on the 23rd of September 2004, have extended their criteria for submissions to a best of “all Celtic” short films from Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
This expansion is part of the Craic Film Festival that is incorporating the best of Celtic Music and Film next March. The Shorts Night promises an eclectic lineup of international shorts accumulated from various high profile festivals including Tribeca Festival, Scottish Screen and the Galway Film Fleadh.
Festival Director Terence Mulligan noted the ‘all Celtic’ expansion is “A smart integration of Celtic artists…it’s what I like to call same Church (Irish, Welsh and Scottish) different pew. Cinematically speaking of course”
A portion of the proceeds will be going to the NY Firefighters Burn
Center Foundation.
