Aisling Walsh’s ‘Song For A Raggy Boy’ has picked up the top award at this year’s Emden-Aurich-Norderney Film Festival in northern Germany taking the 10,000 Euro Bernhard Wicki Prize.
Aisling Walsh’s ‘Song For A Raggy Boy’ has picked up the top award at this year’s Emden-Aurich-Norderney Film Festival in northern Germany taking the 10,000 Euro Bernhard Wicki Prize.
John Travers, who plays the young schoolboy Liam Mercier in the film, was present at the festival on Sunday night to accept the award on Aisling’s behalf. This continues a great run of success for the Irish film making this the thirteenth award received since it’s release.
'song For a Raggy Boy' is produced by Subotica Entertainment which is due to begin shooting it’s next project ‘In Like Flynn’ starring Robert Carlyle this summer.
