Song For A Raggy Boy, which was part-funded by The Irish Film Board, tells the powerful story of one man’s courage to stand up and fight the tough fascist regime in a boys’ Irish Reformatory School. Set in 1939, William Franklin (Quinn) returns from the bullet riddled streets of Madrid during the Spanish Civil War to the confining walls of a Catholic Reformatory School. Battling to come to terms with the demons of his past, amongst the cruellest of punishment, abuse and neglect, it shows how one man can make a difference.

Song for a Raggy Boy is currently on DVD and video release in Xtra-vision stores nationwide.
