The highly praised drama ‘Holy Cross’ has won The Golden Plaque Award for Feature Length Telefilm – Drama at the Chicago International Television Competition.
The BBC NI production shot in Northern Ireland beat off competition from over 10 different countries around the world. The drama continues it’s run of success in major awards ceremonies having previously won three out of a possible five awards in the FIPA D'Or Awards. It won
Best Drama; Best Actress in a Drama – jointly shared by Bronagh Gallagher and Zara Turner and Northern Irish writer Terry Cafolla, won in the Best Screenplay for Drama category.
Holy Cross is also nominated for 2 awards in the Royal Television Society Awards in London tomorrow night.
