New and promising Irish comedy drama series ‘Pulling Moves’ begins on BBC3 and BBC One on Friday the 5th of March.
Set in Lenadoon, West Belfast, Pulling Moves stars Ciaran McMenamin (Sunday), Simon Delaney (The Actors), Ciaran Nolan (Corner Boy) and Kevin Elliott (Short Back And Sides) as four lads trying to make their living doing as little hard work as possible, running scams which frequently get them into trouble and having a laugh as they chance their arms all over their hometown.
The ten half-hour episodes follow the lads as they become involved in a number of hilarious schemes and dodgy deals; including insurance scams, dodgy pub quizzes, selling a dead cow, nobbled pigeon races and ‘dog-napping’.
Executive Producer, Robert Cooper said of its talented writer, ‘Pearse Elliott is a wholly original talent - from the moment he began writing Pulling Moves it became apparent that his head contained an inexhaustable supply of warm, funny and above all real characters to populate his extraordinary fictional world. He is to West Belfast what Alan Bleasdale is to Liverpool.’
Pulling Moves begins on BBC THREE on Friday 5 March 2004 at 9.00pm.
Viewers in Northern Ireland will also be able to see it on BBC ONE.
